Today, 2 more major national banks fail. Bring the number of banks to crash and burn up to 25 this year alone. That is more than the past 5 years put together. I don’t know about you but this worries me.  25 banks, would you have ever thought that so many would fail?  None of this would have happened is the democrats didn’t revoke the certain act. The all mighty and powerful Glass-steagall act. Glass-steagall act Prevented regular bank from being in investment industry. Funny isn’t it we all blame bush for this mess when it was Clinton. If banks did not leverage themselves so much then we may not have been in a recession or at least a lesser version of one.
Now onto the most important part! Is your money safe?? Depends if you have fewer than 250,001 dollars then Federal Deposit Insurance Corp (FDIC) protects that amount in case of a bank failure. Not bad.   Should you keep your money in a bank though? I don’t I opened a sharebuilder account and bought Citi Group at 2 dollar a share.  That stock is currently priced at 3.65, giving me a return of 82.5%. That return beats ANY return a bank can give you!

On Tuesday GM began testing of the Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility (PUMA) on the streets of New York City. The concept of this vehicle is rather interesting crossing a Segway with a traditional enclosed vehicle cockpit. The Puma (Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility) has a top speed of 35 mph and a range of 35 mph. This vehicle was designed to reduce or even eliminate “traffic” and reduce emissions.

ONE problem it’s a waste of MONEY. Why? Very simple what would happen if the Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility (PUMA) zipped through the streets and ran into the big bad SUV, which that it’s trying to replace? I own an Expedition; the blind spots on that car can fit a BMW 3 series. The puma with its small will get ran over in a New York minute. The other issue with how safe is it overall; the puma cannot go against other vehicles and if it goes on the sidewalks then people will get injured. There is no place for the Personal Urban Mobility and Accessibility in NYC. Why did they have to develop it? There is no need! How about spending all that money on GREEN TECH or even MARKETING, shocking isn’t it? Spending money on Marketing to SELL your Vehicles. But, hey as always it not there money it’s your money and they don’t really care because they already have it.

Lastly, that thing in the back wtf, a rabbit’s tail? Oh sorry a PUMA tail that’s why they called it that.

You have to give these guys some credit! This the 4th ship this week that they have captured.  To top off this fact this is a fling a United States flag. With today’s ship that is 14 ships and 260 people that are being held hostage by these Pirates. How insane is this?? 260 people!   You have to respect these guys they are good at what they do.
I think that most of us can also identify with them. We all wanted to be pirates living by our wits, free of laws and rebelling against authority.  These guys are living that life but not by choice.  Choices are few and far apart in Somalia. They took the cooler one (I think)
At some point though they will run into the wrong ship crew, a crew that is “locked and loaded” and the results will not be pretty.

So apparently there is a plan to tax the bonuses given out to the AIG creeps.  Somehow after reading this article I feel like we don’t have the resources etc… to even get this tax thing right.  They got rich off of our money. That is the truth and we have to accept it.

I dont think Congress got to stick it to AIG with no lube. I think AIG stuck it to the American taxpayers with no lube and did I mention no consent?

It’s that time of year when your girl scout cookies are coming in OR you’re bumping into those screaming little girls selling them in random public places. Seems you cannot escape them. They are at the grocery, the train station, Walmart, even the mall…etc. I am a very proud girl scout drop out. I didn’t last much passed 10/11 years old. I was a girl scout for about 5 years before girl scout camp completely did me in. Not because I am soo girlie and love the color pink but because I had a close encounter with a snake. I do not like snakes. Scratch that, I HATE SNAKES.  I cried hard every time my mom sent me to girl scout camp. I even recall a time where our troop leader purposely opened the out house door on my sister while she was peeing as a joke and I FLIPPED OUT on her.  Big surprise that I flipped out…I know. lol But seriously, I have memories that I will never forget about my girl scout days. Heather and I went together and eventually Tiff was old enough to join our troop.  I want to say we were probably the trouble makers of the group but who knows really. I think the troop leaders’ daughter and her friends were definately bitches so if you ask me they were the cause of all chaos.

But I do not recall ever being so into really selling the cookies. I mean I hit up my family and neighbors like any other but I don’t recall trying to pawn them off at the local grocery store or even dressing up as the cookie and trying to sell them at the mall. Lame attempt by the way. What would impress me would be them in little chef outfits with easy bake ovens baking them hot and fresh right then and there.

But anyway the day your coworker brings in your girl scout cookies it is almost like you hit the lotto. I get people running up to me going “I got my girl scout cookies YESSSS” or emails or IM’s from friends/coworkers saying the same. I am sad now though because I have not received my cookies. I am suffering from girl scout cookie envy at the moment. I ordered the thin mints for Tiff since she likes to eat them frozen. I also got the samoas for my dad and the shortbread for myself. Little did I know that Tiff already had thin mints ordered through Mike’s job. Now she is realllllly happy because she has double. lol
